Employment Resources

Kalamazoo has a diverse number of employers ranging in size and products. Some of the largest companies in the area provide products such as medical equipment, fabricated metals, chemicals, plastics, robotics and pharmaceuticals. Agriculture is also a key employer in Kalamazoo with one township considered the Bedding Plant Capital of the World. A few of the largest employers of Kalamazoo County include Pharmacia, Western Michigan University, Bronson Hospital, Meijers Inc., National City Bank, Borgess Health Alliance, the area school systems, Summit Polymers, Stryker Corporation and Eaton Corporation.

Educational Information

Kalamazoo County has several institutions of high learning for those interested in going beyond a high school education. The County also has excellent educational programs for students K-12 in the public and private sector. A Regional Agency called K/RESA offers programs for the County that each individual school system cannot provide on their own. Some of these programs consist of Math and Science Center, Education for the Arts and Education for Employment.
